Monitoring Pine Martens in the Avon Valley
Wild About Loddiswell have been awarded a Devon Wildlife Trust Community Grant for the purchase of three trail cameras so that we can monitor pine martens in the Avon Valley and report any sightings to the Two Moors Pine Marten Project. This project will also be invaluable in monitoring other wildlife in the valley as, inevitably, other species will be recorded by the cameras too.
We had our first training session on Monday 13th July.
The three cameras have been placed and baited at sites in private locations, well off the beaten track, in the Avon Valley, with landowner permission.
